Amar Kanwar
Amar Kanwar (born 1964) is an Indian film-maker whose work made its first appearance on the international art scene at Documenta 2002 in Kassel. Prior to that, he had already gained a significant reputation as a prominent film-maker, with his films being shown both in India and internationally.
Kanwar took part in the Lofoten International Art Festival in 2004 and has
been filming around the islands in connection with his visits to Svolvaer. He was also the first winner of the Munch Award in Norway and spent some months working in Oslo in 2005.
Amar Kanwar lives and works in New Delhi.
