Carl Johan Högberg

Carl Johan Högberg (b.1979 in Eskilstuna, Sweden, lives and works in Amsterdam, the Netherlands) studied at Gerrit Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam. His work includes juxtapositions of diverse expressions, aiming at combining images that have not been coupled before. Högberg has an interest in media archaeology and the specific characteristics of the mediums dealt with, making up the basis of the selection of images used. His work has been presented at Christian Larsen Gallery, Stockholm, Sweden (2013); Palais de Tokyo, Paris, France (2013); Jan van Eyck Academie, Maastricht, the Netherlands (2012); Galerie Ron Mandos, Amsterdam (2012); BIS71 ruimte voor kunst, Geleen, the Netherlands (2011); and Bonniers Konsthall; Stockholm (2010).
