David Horvitz (1982, USA) currently resides in Brooklyn, New York. His work shifts seamlessly between the Internet, the printed page, and the exhibition. He works in a variety of media, including photography, video, watercolour, and web-based projects. His participatory practice, often involving close collaborations with other artists, as well as a web-based audience, considers strategies of information circulation and the impermanence of digital artefacts. His work has been exhibited at The Kitchen (New York, USA), Or Gallery (Vancouver, Canada), Kunsthal Charlottenborg (Copenhagen, Denmark), Tate Modern (London, UK) and the New Museum (New York, USA). He has developed projects for The Clocktower Gallery, Rhizome, Recess, Creative Time, Goethe Institut Library New York, Triple Canopy, Fillip, among others. He continuously publishes artist’s books, by among others, New Documents, 2nd Cannons, Morava, Motto, Automatic Books, as well as many self-released titles.
