Laura Beloff (born 1964) works in media arts. Her recent projects have involved participatory elements, portable objects and network installations. She often col- laborates with other artists, musicians and programmers. Beloff’s work for the Lofoten exhibition consists of a computer-run programme based on interviews that the artist has made about whaling in the Lofoten islands.
A former professor at Oslo’s National Academy of Fine Arts, Beloff has now returned to Finland, where she lives and works in Porvoo.
