Laura Beloff (born 1964) works in media arts. Her recent projects have involved participatory elements, portable objects and network installations. She often collaborates with other artists, musicians and programmers. Beloff’s work for the Lofoten exhibition consists of a computer-run programme based on interviews that the artist has made about whaling in the Lofoten islands.
A former professor at Oslo’s National Academy of Fine Arts, Beloff has now returned to Finland, where she lives and works in Porvoo.
