Selgs (1974, DE) oeuvre is a Gesamtkunstwerk where paintings, sculptures, videos and the life and times of the artist all are parts of a bigger whole. The works are often based on the traditional handcraft and the history of the places he visits. These traditional expressions undergo his peculiar expressive processing and appear as strange mutations of the archetypical and the individual. For LIAF Selg will show the new video Storråda, partly shot at the Borg viking museum in Lofoten. The work will be installed on the first floor of the Barrel Factory.
