Mircea Cantor

Mircea Cantor (1977, Romania) has recently shown his work in solo exhibitions at the Centre Pompidou (Paris, France, 2012), and in ‘More cheeks than slaps’, le Credac (Ivry sur Seine, France, 2011) and ‘The need for uncertainty’, Camden Arts Centre/Arnolfini/Modern Art Oxford (London/Bristol/Oxford, UK, 2008-2009). His works has been included in group exhibitions such as ‘TRACK’, S.M.A.K. museum (Ghent, Belgium, 2012), ‘I decided not to save the world’, Salt (Istanbul, Turkey, 2012) and Tate Modern (London, UK, 2011) and ‘Our magic Hour’, Yokohama Triennale (Yokohama, Japan, 2011). He won the Prix Marcel Duchamp Award in 2011 and is the co-editor of the artist-run magazine VERSION.
