Pipilotti Rist (1962, CH), a pioneer of spatial video art, was born 1962 in Grabs in the Swiss Rhine Valley. She is best known for creating experimental video- and installation art. Her work is often described as surreal, intimate and abstract, having a preoccupation with the female body.
