Disappearing Acts

Tue Greenfort

Tue Greenfort (b.1973 in Holbæk, Denmark, lives and works in Berlin, Germany) studied at Staatliche Hochschule für Bildende Künste in Frankfurt am Main, Germany and at Funen Art Academy in Odense, Denmark. He has an interdisciplinary practice, dealing with issues such as the public and private realm, nature and culture. With a fascination of the dynamics in the natural world, Greenfort’s work frequently evolves around ecology and its history, including the environment, social relations, and human subjectivity. In 2012 he served as a co-curator of an archive on multi-species co-evolution at dOCUMENTA (13) in Kassel, Germany. Greenfort’s work has been exhibited at Berlinische Galerie, Berlin (2012); South London Gallery, London, UK (2011); Bonniers Konsthall, Stockholm, Sweden (2009);  Kunstverein Braunschweig, Germany (2008); Secession, Vienna, Austria (2007); and Witte de With, Rotterdam, the Netherlands (2006).
